Cabot House Furniture & Design is a fifth-generation family-owned luxury retailer and interior design firm founded in 1912. Our Designer Trade Program gives independent designers, architects, and trade professionals exclusive access to 100+ luxury brands, fully custom furniture capabilities, protected pricing, and a dedicated trade team who handles logistics from order through white-glove delivery — so you can focus on your clients.

Complimentary appointments with free parking are available seven days a week at all 7 showrooms across Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, and Palm Beach County, FL.

    Who is eligible, and is there a fee to join?

    The program is open to licensed interior designers, decorators, architects, home developers, real estate professionals, home stagers, and other qualified trade professionals. There is no fee. Membership is complimentary to all qualifying applicants.

    Do I need to be near a showroom to participate?

    No. Cabot House serves trade clients throughout New England, South Florida, and nationwide. Designers working remotely can work with our team by phone, email, and virtual consultation, with nationwide white-glove delivery available for all client projects.

    What trade pricing does Cabot House offer?

    Cabot House offers protected trade pricing on qualifying purchases. Pricing is never shared with retail clients. We also
    price match to trade showrooms and manufacturer direct accounts; bring us a competing quote and
    we’ll work to match it.

    Are there exclusions to trade pricing?

    Yes. Trade discounts do not apply to floor sample clearance, MRP (Minimum Retail Pricing) products, or special promotion pricing. Your Account Manager can confirm eligibility before you place an order. All pricing requests are handled by email or in person, not over the phone.

    Cabot House carries 100+ luxury furniture and furnishing brands, including:

    • Premium: Rene Cezares, Hickory Chair, Baker, Bernhardt, Chaddock, Century
    • Premium outdoor: Brown Jordan, Gloster, Dedon
    • Accessories & lighting: Arteriors, Currey & Company, Visual Comfort, Made Goods, Palecek, Eichholtz

    What custom furniture programs does Cabot House offer?

    Custom furniture is one of Cabot House’s core differentiators. We offer two programs:

    • Upholstery by the Inch: Baker, Hickory Chair, Lee, Hancock & Moore, Gamma, Eleanor Rigby, Highland House, Adriana Hoyos, and more
    • Case by the Inch: Hickory Chair, Council, Simply Amish, Old Biscayne, Karges, Chaddock, Adriana Hoyos, and more

    Designers and clients can specify exact dimensions, fabrics, leathers, finishes, leg styles, and configurations. Your Account Manager or in-showroom designer will walk you through every available option.

    Can I supply COM or COL?

    Yes. Customer’s Own Material (COM) and Customer’s Own Leather (COL) are supported. COM must be tagged before submission to the manufacturer. Required tagging:

    Cabot House / Sales Order # / Designer Name / Client Name

    COM and finish details must be on the order before it is submitted. The manufacturer will not process orders missing this information.

    Does Cabot House offer storage?

    Yes. We offer free storage for up to six months on qualifying Cabot House purchases. We can also receive non-Cabot House goods within reason (e.g., items from other vendors); ask your Account Manager about specifics.

    What delivery services are available?

    Cabot House offers white-glove delivery on all orders, including full unpacking, placement, and professional installation. Nationwide white-glove delivery is available for projects outside New England and South Florida. Residential and commercial projects are both supported. There is no incoming freight charge on orders shipped to Cabot House’s warehouse; standard delivery charges apply for final delivery to your client.

    What is the process for damaged goods?

    Note and photograph all damage at time of delivery. Mark damages on the delivery slip and submit a Damage Report with photos to Austin Bendetson ([email protected]) or Customer Service ([email protected]). Cabot House manages the claim process from there.

    Can I bring clients to the showroom, and are after-hours appointments available?

    Yes. Designers can bring clients before or after regular hours for private showroom appointments. Complimentary appointments are available seven days a week at all locations, with dedicated Account Managers and unlimited free parking.

    What additional support does the trade program include?
    • Two dedicated Trade Design Associates for project management and sourcing

    • Lunch & Learns by appointment: in showrooms or at our offices
    • Fabric and finish samples available (fabric: 7-day return; wood: 24–48 hours)
